Trump’s Policy Changes on China Likely to Draw Pushback

HONG KONG—President Trump’s announcement to punish China more than its procedure of Hong Kong and other disruptive moves are probably to enhance Beijing’s perception that Washington is intent on containing China’s rise and harden its solve to thrust again.

Mr. Trump’s most current actions, introduced on Friday, represented “the most in depth and critical assault on China thus far,” explained Shi Yinhong, a Chinese government adviser and professor of worldwide relations at Beijing’s Renmin College.
