Canada Instructs Banks to Unfreeze Freedom-Convoy Accounts

OTTAWA—Canada explained to banking institutions to unlock financial accounts belonging to folks involved in a weekslong Covid-19 protest in Ottawa that law enforcement shut down this earlier weekend, according to a finance ministry official.

“They began [Monday] to unfreeze accounts,” Isabelle Jacques, a senior official in Canada’s finance section, instructed lawmakers Tuesday.
